I grew up on a beef farm in Northern Cincinnati and have been riding horses since I was three years old. I bought my first horse at 16 and knew horses would always be a major part of my life.
My riding and training experience has taken me from Ohio to Wyoming, Colorado, Okinawa, Japan, and Iceland. I earned an AA in Equine Management from an equine college program in Cheyenne, Wyoming, where I studied horse management, animal science, farm management, jumping, and hands-on training.
Since 1990, I have taught riding lessons and trained horses of many breeds, including Quarter Horses, Paints, Appaloosas, and more. I specialize in all-around events and believe every horse is an individual, so training should fit each horse’s needs.
I hold Ohio, POA, and Indiana horse judging cards, and we primarily show at AQHA shows and some open shows, competing in Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Equitation, Halter, Trail, Horsemanship, Ranch, Showmanship, and Longeline.
I enjoy working with students of all ages, with lessons available for riders starting at age 6. I help riders build confidence, responsibility, safety, and a strong partnership with their horse. I am also a member of NOQHA, AQHA, OQHA, NSBA, and OMIQHA, and I am an AQHA Professional Horseman.
